Rupert

Writer, director, editor and camera operator

biography

Hi, my name is Rupert. I am a writer, director, editor and camera operator. I have been working in the film industry for the past 18 months, where I have worked on many documentaries, corporate films and creative campaigns. I love coming up with ideas for stories and working in film allows me to bring my ideas to life. The best thing about making films is the combination of practical skills and creative thinking. One of my favourite films is Castaway, starring Tom Hanks. It is a simply beautiful telling of a survival story.

Nick

Camera operator, photographer and video editor

biography

Hi my name’s Nick and principally I’m a camera operator, photographer and video editor. I’ve spent the past 18 months working on documentaries and issue based films gaining some invaluable experience along the way. I was drawn to working in film because it can enrich and challenge our perception of the world around us. I enjoy photography for similar reasons and love the challenge in trying to capture that story within a single image. Coppola’s Apocalypse Now is my favourite film for its hypnotic exploration of the human condition. I also love the work of director Wes Anderson because of his attention to detail within each frame.

Hannah

Editor, camera operator and assistant producer

biography

Hi I’m Hannah and i’m a former student from the University of Surrey were I studied film and media. My love of film came from when I first saw Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone. I watched it over and over again. It opened my eyes to the world of filmmaking. I have experience in producing documentaries and issue based films, where I have gained some very valuable skills. For me it is all about the pace that the film is cut to, which is why I am fascinated with editing. This is where you have creative freedom, to cut the footage and story together in the most imaginative way. It’s hard to narrow down my favourite film because there are so many great films and genre. Pulp Fiction, Pretty Woman and Monsters Inc are definitely a few!
